Infection Control

In 1988 National Dentex Corporation created the Dental Laboratory Infection Control Council (DLICC). The DLICC is a group of concerned dental laboratories who have recognized the problem of infection control in dentistry.

The purpose of DLICC was to raise awareness of infection control in dental laboratories and in the dental office. Our goal was to eliminate cross-contamination from the laboratory. This is one component of the Cross-Contamination loop that the laboratory has control over.

In order to raise awareness in the dental practice we have developed a DLICC logo and Stickers. When a case is finished it is disinfected, enclosed in a plastic bag and sealed with the DLICC Seal.

It is then wrapped securely with packing material, enclosed in a box and returned to the dental office.

DLICC Certified Members are the only laboratories that may use the DLICC Seal when supplying work to the dental profession. If the dentist does not receive their work secured by the DLICC Seal, they can’t be sure they are receiving effective infection control protection from their laboratory. As a valued customer of our dental laboratories you can rest assured your are receiving the utmost care and concern for your patients!
