Indications
- Full-coverage crowns and bridges
- Three-unit bridges with one pontic, up to the second premolar as the distal abutment
Cementation
- IPS Empress 2 can be cemented both adhesively (Variolink II, Multilink) or conventionally (with Vivaglass CEM)
Shade Selection
- The shade is determined on the cleaned, unprepared, or adjacent tooth with the help of the Chromascope or Vita (classic) shade guides. To maximize esthetics with Empress it is important to also select the prepped tooth colour.
Preparation Guidelines
- It is important to properly design the margin with a circular shoulder or chamfer preparation and rounded inner aspects. Transitions with sharp angles and feather edge margins should be avoided.
